Roles and Responsibilities

I. Roles

The Office of Testing – Quality Assurance is responsible for assisting the University’s Board of Presidents in organizing educational testing, developing, enhancing, and managing full-time undergraduate programs, developing the University’s internal quality assurance system, guiding and supervising quality assurance processes at divisions to ensure they met quality objectives and standards, and conducting periodic quality assessments and accreditation according to international and Ministry of Education and Training standards.

II. Responsibilities

  1. Develop the University’s policies for educational testing, academic program management, and quality assurance that comply with regulations and are consistent with the University’s features.
  2. Develop high-quality academic programs and effective teaching and learning methods that meet the University’s mission, vision, and social requirements.
  3. Implement educational testing
    – Develop, issue, and update regulations and procedures relating to educational testing.
    – Monitor and oversee the implementation of educational testing documents after they have been issued.
    – Collaborate with the Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Information Technology, faculties, and other divisions to establish and manage test bank systems.
    – Establish and operate educational testing cooperation programs and projects, both nationally and internationally.
    – Research to develop new assessment methods.
    – Evaluate and analyze the academic quality based on testing data.
    – Organize and attend workshops on educational testing for lecturers.
  4. Implement quality assurance
    – Establish and implement objectives, policies, and plans for the University’s quality assurance and accreditation.
    – Serve as the central point in developing a quality assurance data system, and collaborate with administrative divisions to organize and direct quality assurance activities across the University’s divisions. From there, providing consultation to the Board of Presidents to enhance quality assurance conditions.
    – Consult, assist, and supervise divisions in conducting the self-assessment report, registering and organizing quality assessment and accreditation as well as being the central point for quality assurance in the University.
    – Supervise and recommend relevant divisions to maintain and develop quality assurance conditions.
    – Provide feedback to faculties on monitoring and ensuring lecturer quality.
    – Collaborate with faculties to evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and research, as well as exchange academic experiences.
    – Assist the Board of Presidents in determining quality accreditation bodies and criteria for university and program levels.
    – Organize training workshops and courses on quality assurance and accreditation for the University personnel.
  5. Manage, review, and update academic programs
    – Assist the President in establishing academic objectives, scale, and structure of academic disciplines; establish new degree programs or majors; and conduct research on strategies to enhance higher education program’s contents, curriculums, processes, materials, methods, and quality management.
    – Engage with faculty in developing, reviewing, updating, and enhancing academic programs and course outlines following international standards, fulfilling demands of society, assuring students’ knowledge and skill standards upon graduation, and meeting transfer requirements across study levels.
    – Conduct research and identify needs to inform the University’s development strategy.
    – Formulate documents and instructions for the University’s academic programs and course management.
  6. Propose to the Deans whether to extend or terminate the contracts with visiting lecturers; and to continue or discontinue the assignment of full-time lecturers and visiting lecturers to teach courses.
  7. Conduct other tasks as directed and assigned by the Board of Presidents.
