1. ROLES
The Office of Academic Affairs is a unit advising and assisting the Board of Directors, as well as a professional department in university training, developing, managing formal training programs at the university level, ensuring that the training organization process of the University is operated in accordance with the regulations, statutes of the Ministry of Education and Training and of the University
2. MISSION
2.1 Advising the School Board of Directors
- Elaborate, amend and supplement regulations and statutes on academic affairs related to university training according to current regulations
- Develop training strategies, close ineffective majors/specialization, open new training majors/specialization
- Develop quality training programs and effective training methods (offline, online…) in accordance with the mission and vision of the University and meeting the requirements of society
2.2 Implementing training activities
- Elaborate, amend and supplement regulations and statutes on academic affairs related to university training according to current regulations
- Organize and implement teaching and learning plans, semester exam plans
- Organize for students to register for courses according to the credit system, manage students’ personal schedules and train academic advisors
- Set up timetables, arrange classrooms, and confirm the implementation of the lecturer’s teaching plan
2.3. Implementing the organization of examinations
- Provide relevant units with a list of students eligible to take the exam
- Arrange exam schedules and organize end-of-subject exams, hand over the exam to the examining faculties
- Receive and manage mid-term and final transcripts sent by faculties
2.4. Implementing the management of student diplomas and certificates
- Manage enrollment results, academic results, transcripts, and graduation consideration
- Review and verify of entrance diplomas, certificates and subject exemption proposals for students
- Implement regulations and policies for students. Coordinate with relevant departments in selecting scholarships and sponsorships for students
- Manage the issuance of diplomas and certificates to students and their revocation in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the University
2.5. Implementing academic advising and student experience
- Coordinate academic advisors to provide academic advising to students
- Consult and receive students’ academic requirements, coordinate with the Faculty and Student Center to resolve and respond to students on time
2.6. Supervising, inspecting, and coordinating
- Organize inspection and supervision of the implementation of academic plans and teaching schedules of lecturers, confirm the implementation of lecturers’ teaching plans
- Coordinate with faculties to evaluate the quality of teaching, learning; Research and disseminate training experiences
- Participate with other departments to organize graduation ceremonies for students every year
