Hoa Sen University (HSU) again achieved NEAS certification for its General English program on July 2, 2024. Notably, HSU remains the first and only university in Vietnam to achieve this prestigious accreditation.
NEAS, a leading global authority in English language teaching quality assessment, awarded HSU this endorsement. With over 200 members across Australia, the Asia-Pacific Region, and the Middle East, NEAS’s recognition underscores HSU’s commitment to excellence in English language education.
The award ceremony will feature NEAS CEO Adam Kilburn, who will present the certificate and conduct a seminar titled “Teacher Professional Development: Implementing NEAS-Recommended Practices for ESL Instructors’ Professional Development Plan.”
HSU’s unique status as the sole Vietnamese university with NEAS certification highlights its leadership in English language instruction within the country. This event offers instructors valuable insights into NEAS’s world-leading benchmarks and recommended practices for enhancing their teaching careers.
As Chief Executive Officer at NEAS Australia, Adam Kilburn brings extensive experience in the English Language Teaching sector. He has worked in the ELT industry for over 30 years, having held a range of management positions in academic, marketing and general management roles. Amongst these, he managed a teacher training (CELTA) centre and ran a multiple campus operation in Vietnam. Adam has also consulted to the ELT industry in Canada and various states of Australia, working with both public and private, large and small providers. With a Master of Arts (Language and Literacy) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Adam’s academic qualifications complement his practical insights, enabling him to drive business improvement and foster collaborative engagement within the ELT sector.
