CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID TRAINING COURSE FOR TEACHERS AND EDUCATORS

* In Vietnam, current programs focus on helping educators identify psychological problems, understand the consequences of mental health crises, and thereby find timely support. for students is still limited. Psychology First Aid (PFA) training is considered a timely and comprehensive approach, not only providing teachers with psychological first aid skills to be able to provide timely support to students. but also strengthen the role of school administrators in improving students’ mental health.
For the above reasons, the Psychology program in conjunction with the Center for Psychological Research & Consulting – Hoa Sen University, with the sponsorship of the New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam, organizes the program “MANAGEMENT TRAINING”. CRISIS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID” aims to provide educators/teachers with skills and knowledge to be able to identify the signs and consequences of crises in children and the ability to provide psychological first aid. for students, as well as other preventative measures.
* The program is an opportunity to support teachers in Ho Chi Minh City who wish to equip themselves with relevant skills and knowledge about Psychological First Aid, and a training model that can be used and replicated in schools and other localities by participants after completing the program.
The training course is COMPLETELY FREE and has ONLY OVER 30 SITTINGS PER TIME and will be led by:
– Dr. Nguyen Thi Loan – Director of Psychological Consulting Center, Hoa Sen University,
– MSc Nguyen Hong An – Director of Psychology, Hoa Sen University,
– MSc Pham Do Nam – Project Officer at Save the Children Vietnam.
* The program is held LIVE at Hoa Sen University, Ward 507, TSC Nguyen Van Trang, District 1, HCMC.
The project will include two training courses at two different periods for teachers to arrange conveniently.
Each training session will include 4 sessions taking place over 2 days with the following schedule:
1st:
– Day 1 (October 29, 2022): Learn the Impact of Crisis Management & Foundations in Psychological First Aid
– Day 2 (October 30, 2022): Psychological First Aid Skills and Building a resilient school environment
Phase 2:
– Day 1 (December 10, 2022): Learn the Impact of Crisis Management & Foundations in Psychological First Aid
– Day 2 (December 11, 2022): Psychological First Aid skills and building a resilient school environment
* Priority subjects:
– Teachers and staff of middle and high schools
– Educators and social workers who work with youth.
– Experts in psychology, social work, and educational managers
