Talkshow “Love, Life and Philosophy”

Continuing the previous philosophical programs and topics: Philosophy and Economics, Philosophy and businessmen… This time, the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities conducted a Talkshow with the theme “Love, life and philosophy” to continue to introduce philosophy programs to a large number of interested students, and through these programs, students who love philosophy can learn about and be able to register to study philosophy subjects. In the future, it will be compiled and taught by the Department of Philosophy.

The talk show has 3 parts:
1. How are emotions and the power of love understood? What role and meaning do they have in contemporary life? Let’s find out in the first content: Love from the Psychoanalytic point of view of Sigmund Freud
2. How are love, the desire for life, and the feeling at the end of human existence clarified? Let’s find out in the second content: Queen Cleopatra’s life is seen from the Metaphysics of Love & Metaphysics of Death through Arthur Schopenhauer’s description.
3. How is living with the philosophy of freedom and commitment understood through the love story of JP Sartre and S. Beauvoir? Stay tuned for the third content: An existential love story by Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir.
All three contents above will be viewed from a philosophical perspective to see the importance and role of philosophy in love life, emotions, personal relationships, and social life.
