TRAO – SECONDHAND CLOTHING FAIR
TRADE – A place where people contribute – shop for secondhand clothes and used items with the goal of fundraising for environmental protection through tree planting, organized by students of Hoa Sen University. The event will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on August 11, 2023, at Room 401 Hoa Sen University, 08 Nguyen Van Trang, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Clothes and used items that may no longer hold value for you can be repurposed or, even easier, find new owners. Instead of discarding them, consider reusing them, or finding new owners for these items. This extended lifecycle not only adds value to yourself but also contributes to sustainability in both the fashion industry and the environment.
According to a statement by Mr. Phan Minh Tuan, the Marketing Program Director at Hoa Sen University.
The “Trao Project” fair is jointly organized by student groups at Hoa Sen University – including Noi Project, Va Ao Cho Rung, and Tai Xinh – The event aims to encourage and provide opportunities for students to contribute to the natural environment of Vietnam through the buying and selling of secondhand clothes and used items. The Trao Project creates a friendly community that fosters sharing and connections among individuals who share a particular interest in the environment and sustainable fashion.
At the Trao fair, all proceeds generated will be entirely dedicated to the Forest Garden project under the Joy Foundation organization. With a contribution of just 35,000 VND, one can plant an additional tree in the forest. Therefore, each secondhand item you contribute becomes a companion in our collective effort to restore forests in Vietnam.
Please follow the pages of the participating groups to stay updated on the latest information about the event. Trao will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on August 11, 2023, at Room 401, Hoa Sen University – 8 Nguyen Van Trang, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1.
