In the past 5 years, Vietnam’s economy has witnessed rapid growth in the e-commerce market. With an estimated growth rate of 81% in 2020, Vietnam is considered one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia, second only to Indonesia. Along with the dominance of the Big4 group leading the e-commerce industry, the amount of goods traded on e-commerce platforms as well as online business channels has grown significantly in each period.

According to the 2020 E-Commerce Index Report of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM), the growth rate of Vietnam’s logistics industry in recent years has reached about 14%-16%, with the participation of about 3,000 domestic businesses and about 25 of the world’s leading forwarding corporations. The potential for developing Vietnam’s logistics services is huge. In the near future, logistics services will become an important economic sector, possibly contributing up to 15% of the country’s GDP.

It can be seen that, along with the rapid development trend of e-commerce, it has opened up many strong growth opportunities for the logistics sector in Vietnam. These numbers show the importance of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry affecting our lives today.
