Hoa Sen University Welcomes NEAS CEO to Present Quality Endorsement Certification and Conduct Professional Development Workshop
On the afternoon of July 2, 2024, Hoa Sen University had the honor of welcoming Mr. Adam Kilburn, CEO of NEAS (Australia), to present the third consecutive Quality Endorsement Certificate for its English for International Communication program. The ceremony was attended by strategic partners, lecturers, staff, and students of the university.
Mr. Adam Kilburn, CEO of NEAS – a global leader in quality assurance for the English Language Teaching community – awarded the Certificate of Quality Endorsement to Hoa Sen University’s English for International Communication program for the third consecutive year. Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice President of Hoa Sen University, stated: “Being the pioneer university to successfully put the NEAS “powerful” tick on all non-majored English levels, Hoa Sen University is now confident to meet world-leading benchmarks in order to guarantee the highest learning standards and ensure the students have access to the best teachers, the best facilities and the best courses.” This milestone has once again reaffirmed the quality and prestige of the university’s General English program and opened up numerous learning and development opportunities for its students.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Kilburn delivered a keynote speech on “Teacher Professional Development: Implementing NEAS-Recommended Practices for ESL Instructors’ Professional Development Plan.” He shared valuable experiences in professional development for lecturers and engaged with participants about the challenges in English teaching, offering recommendations and solutions for enhancing the qualifications of English-teaching lecturers. The insights and experiences shared during the workshop received enthusiastic attention from both participating lecturers and students.
