Hoa Sen University welcomed the AUN-QA assessor team for the assessment’s site visit of 3 programs via online meeting.

After a long process of self-assessment and providing documents and proofs, Hoa Sen University was honored to welcome the external assessment team of AUN-QA to officially evaluate 3 programs: Information Technology, Interior Design and Restaurant Management. Due to Covid-19, the assessment activities have taken place in an online meeting.

The 218^th assessment team of AUN-QA worked seriously throughout from June 14, 2021 to June 18, 2021. The assessment contents include working sessions with the self-assessment report team (SAR team), interview sessions with stakeholders (lecturers, staff, students, alumni, businesses, etc.), and visiting facilities. The contents are all organized in an online meeting.

After 5 working days, the accessors pointed out some strengths such as the school’s vision, mission and educational philosophy which were integrated in training programs; the program has been updated periodically by getting feedbacks from stakeholders such as businesses, alumni, lecturers and students; a team of highly qualified and experienced lecturers, dedicated to teaching and enthusiastic with students; high graduate employment rate; diversifying methods of teaching as well as methods of student assessment throughout the training process; collaboration with businesses through internships and business visits in training programs; English proficiency of students and alumni are highly appreciated; diversifying student support activities.

In addition, the accessors also made some suggestions for enhancing training program quality such as strengthening exchange programs, global engagement and courses taught in English; consider and promote extracurricular activities to develop comprehensive skills for students.

The comments and suggestions of the accessors will contribute to maintaining and enhancing training quality at Hoa Sen University.

Previously, in 2019, Hoa Sen University had 2 programs recognized by AUN-QA standards: English Language Studies and Hotel Management.
