Welcome Day Hoa Sen University
Every beginning of October each year, students of Hoa Sen University return to school enthusiastically and start a new academic year with the joy of meeting teachers, friends. Besides that, Freshmen after finishing the National High School Graduation Exam and enjoying the summer break have also begun the days of becoming a university student. Understanding the confusion when stepping into a new environment of Freshmen, the Rectorate of Hoa Sen University collaborates with the Youth Union – Student Union to organize the Welcome Day event with the aim of welcoming Freshmen as well as creating a playground for all current students of HSU to participate together
WELCOME DAY 2021 – END THE SUMMER BREAK
This is considered a special year as the whole country is joining hands to push back the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the students of the K21 cohort were unable to participate in the Welcome Day event. However, HSU has created conditions and encouraged the spirit of the students through communication activities on social media platforms, welcoming students to HSU.
WELCOME DAY 2022 – THE WAY YOU SHINE
The theme brings an open spirit along with the desire to convey and send to you, Freshmen. Each of you is a “Star”, the brightest “Diamond” shining, shining according to your personality, passion, dreams, and your own differences in line with the value of “Respecting differences” of Sen’s House.
WELCOME DAY 2023 – YOUR DREAMS AWAIT – SEN-ERS AWAKE
With the theme “Your Dreams Await – Sen-ers Awake,” the Student Union aims for each individual student at HSU to always have the mindset ready to prepare to pursue their own dreams in the upcoming years of study and in the future.
The main activities took place at the Welcome Day event
At the event, the Organizing Committee designed a check-in area that reflects the unique characteristics of Hoa Sen University students. With hashtags that are synonymous with the university’s name such as “Respect for Differences”, “Entrepreneurial Spirit”, “International Standards”, “Vibrant Living Experience”, “Real-world Learning”,… contribute to making the photo-taking atmosphere more lively. Students can come to take commemorative photos with their parents to mark this special occasion.
At Welcome Day, HSU students can unleash their creativity and showcase their talents on stage. The organizing committee provides opportunities for over 30 academic, artistic, and sports clubs, the Youth Union – Student Union, and 8 affiliated faculties to perform distinctive acts for each unit on stage. Through this, new students will somewhat feel and choose a place for themselves to experience learning at HSU.
In addition, the booths displayed at Welcome Day also feature a wide variety of engaging games and prizes from 30 academic, artistic, and sports clubs; the Youth Union – Student Union and 8 affiliated Faculties. Students can not only enthusiastically enjoy the performances on stage but also participate in games at the booths to win prizes. The presence of renowned enterprises such as Klair, English Language Center, etc., at the booths further excites and engages students.
Welcome Day at HSU gathers a lineup of famous guest singers such as singer Phuong My Chi giving her all with the album “Vũ trụ cò bay”, singer Hoa Minzy being dynamic with the song “Bật tình yêu lên”, and also including singer Tang Phuc, singer Truong Thao Nhi, singer Le Khoa… The participation of singers who are students of Hoa Sen University such as rapper Mon Hoàng Anh, singer Việt Thi, and rapper Kenji from group P336 has brought a true Hoa Sen-style festival.
At the end of Welcome Day, students had the opportunity to enjoy themselves to the fullest with friends. Surely, they have made many new friends and gained a better understanding of HSU. We hope that they will have a truly meaningful and successful 4 years at HSU.
